Programme Overview
The MCA is a career-change degree, and MIT treats it as one. Most of our intake comes from B.Sc., B.Com. and BCA backgrounds, and a meaningful fraction arrives with almost no programming experience. The first semester is built for that reality rather than assuming it away.
What follows is a compressed but complete software education: data structures and algorithms, databases, operating systems, then modern practice — cloud-native architecture, APIs, DevOps basics and applied machine learning. By semester four students are building and deploying full systems, and the placement outcomes sit close to those of our four-year CSE graduates.

Curriculum — Semester by Semester
Assumes no prior programming. Includes the Saturday catch-up clinic that runs through the first six months for students from non-computing backgrounds.

Containers, CI/CD and infrastructure basics, with subsidised AWS and Azure certification attempts.
Mobile Application Development
Cross-platform app development, offline-first design and app store deployment.
Careers & Placement
In the 2025 cycle, 93% of eligible MCA students received at least one offer, with a median package of ₹5.5 LPA and a highest of ₹15 LPA — outcomes broadly comparable to our four-year CSE graduates.
